INFO: Using CCL with multiple users on one workstation

Using CCL with multiple users on one computer involves two steps: First, the Outlook add-in must be enabled for the new user. Then the folderset options under the Contact Communications Logging options tab must be copied.

ENABLING THE ADD-IN

To enable the add-in while logged on as a "new" user, go to Tools | Options | Other | Advanced | COM-Addins and click Add. Browse for the CCLCommon.dll file in the C:\Program Files\Contact Communications Logging directory. Note that depending on security restrictions, you may need to give the user temporary administrative priviledges and run the Setup program for CCL again.

COPYING THE CONFIGURATION OPTIONS

While logged in as the new user, you can manually recreate the folderset options.

Or, to speed the process of copying your folderset configuration, you can copy a registry key from the user CCL was set up on to other users via the following:

The registry key is:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\Contact Communications Logging.

Simply log on as the user CCL was installed under. Export this key. Then import this file while logged on as other users you wish to enable CCL for. This will copy your options set under the Contact Communications Logging tab in Outlook's Tools | Options dialog.
